When you send a Raiser’s Edge-integrated campaign in WordFly, you will need to select a query and an appeal. The query contains the “list” of constituents who will receive your email. The appeal ties your campaign to a specific time period or goal. The appeal is required in order for email events to be sent back to the constituent record in Raiser’s Edge.

Add a query for email addresses in Raiser’s Edge

This is where you set up your “list” to import into WordFly.

  1. In Raiser’s Edge, go to Analysis > Query. Click on New Query
  2. Choose Constituent as the Query Type and click OK

  3. Add the desired fields on the Criteria tab
Ensure that addresses are present and that you have permission to contact the addresses.

    • Phones > Specific Phone > [Select Specific Email Type]
    • Phones > All Phones > Phone Do Not Contact? equals No

You may want to add more fields here to only pull in constituents who live in Washington or who have a Gmail.com address, for example.

  4. Add the desired fields on the Output tab
The “Results fields to display” section provides the data that WordFly needs to send your email campaign.

You must include these fields in the “Results fields to display” section
    • Constituent Information > Constituent ID
    •  Phones > Phone Number

You may want to add more fields here if you want to personalize your email with a First Name, for example.

  5. Now, click the Options tab

The Category on the Set Save Options tab must match the variable specified in the Category name that is listed on the Raiser’s Edge Integration page in WordFly. (WordFly Lists)

Query permissions must be set to Others can run.
