We’ll review how to segment your list by a specific WordFly Subscriber Profile data fields.
Segment by WordFly Subscriber Profile data fields
Each subscriber profile has unique data that only WordFly provides and updates for the subscriber. Many of these data fields together make up Subscriber Engagement Rating. All of these data fields contain valuable data about subscribers that could really pay off when used in segmented campaign which we will cover here.

Segment by WordFly Engagement Score
You can segment by WordFly’s unique score for each subscriber using the data field EngagementScore.
Note: You cannot segment by an engagement score of 0 since these subscribers have opted out of your list in some way.
1. Set up your email campaign.
2. Under the Subscribers tab, select or import your list.
3. On the List Summary page, select More List Actions > Segment Your List.
4. Select Create a new segment.
5. Select Add profile data for your segment.
6. Select Engagement.
7. Further define your segment from the available dropdowns.
- Data field: Select EngagementScore
- Operator: Select any operator here (>, <, =, etc)
- Use the toggle to select the score for the condition.
8. Select Add to segment
9. Select Apply to list
Segment by WordFly Engagement Rating (stars)
You can segment by WordFly's unique star rating for each subscriber using the data field EngagementRating.
1. Set up your email campaign.
2. Under the Subscribers tab, select or import your list.
3. On the List Summary page, select More List Actions > Segment Your List.
4. Select Create a new segment.
5. Select Add profile data for your segment.
6. Select Engagement.
7. Further define your segment from the available dropdowns.
- Data field: Select EngagementRating
- Operator: Select any operator here (>, <, =, etc)
- Engagement: Select the star rating you want to segment by.
8. Select Add to segment
9. Select Apply to list
Segment by how a subscriber was added (WordFlyOrigin)
Send an email to all the subscribers that have signed via your WordFly Signup subscribe page or WordFly Lightbox or were imported from a list. The data field that corresponds to how the subscriber was added to WordFly is WordFlyOrigin.
1. Set up your email campaign.
2. Under the Subscribers tab, select or import your list.
3. On the List Summary page, select More List Actions > Segment Your List.
4. Select Create a new segment.
5. Select Add profile data for your segment.
6. Select Other.
7. Further define your segment from the available dropdowns
- Data field: Select WordFlyOrigin
- Operator: Select equal to
- Select options: WordFly Signup, WordFly Lightbox or Import
8. Select Add to segment
9. Select Apply to list
Segment by the date a subscriber was added to WordFly (WordFlySubscribeDate)
Send an email to all the subscribers that have been added to your account on a specific date or date range via WordFly Signup subscribe page, WordFly Lightbox or were imported from a list. The data field that corresponds to when the subscriber was added to WordFly is WordFlySubscribeDate.
1. Set up your email campaign.
2. Under the Subscribers tab, select or import your list.
3. On the List Summary page, select More List Actions > Segment Your List.
4. Select Create a new segment.
5. Select Add profile data for your segment.
6. Select Other.
7. Further define your segment from the available dropdowns.
- Data field: Select WordFlySubscribeDate
- Operator: Select the greater than operator or less than operators
- Open field: enter in the date(s) you would like to segment by with each operator
- Any/All dropdown: Adjust the Any/All toggle to ALL
This example is great for capturing all subscribers who subscribed during a window of time.
8. Select Add to segment
9. Select Apply to list
