Are you interested in using WordFly’s automatic unsubscribe override feature using the 'CRMSubscribeDate' data field? Email us and we will enable this feature for your account.
WordFly supports an automatic unsubscribe override based on the subscribe date that is imported. This feature can be used to override unsubscribes that are no longer current. We’ll review how to do this from your CRM or from a CSV file import.
Set up override for Tessitura
You can import a subscribe date in your Tessitura list to override the unsubscribe event in WordFly for a subscriber. This is done by mapping your list subscribe date to the WordFly data field 'CRMSubscribeDate'.
WordFly will override the unsubscribe event when the subscribe date on your list is greater than (in the future) the unsubscribe event date logged in WordFly.
In Tessitura...
1. Find a date in Tessitura that corresponds to the email subscribe date on the constituent record.
Here are a couple ideas for isolating a subscribe date:
- When the Email Marketing indicator (emarket_ind) on the General tab of the constituent record is updated there is a date stored in the respective audit table in Tessitura. You might use this date as your subscribe date when the indicator is set to (none).
- If you are using contact permissions to manage email opt-in / opt-out, there's a date associated with changes to contact permissions. There is already a standard output set element called Contact Permission Last Ask; however, the default element returns multiple rows. You can make a copy of the element in system tables TR_Query_Element and mark it as a single row (give it a slightly different name for searching, such as WF Contact Permission Last Ask). When you add this element to your output set filter you will also need to set With Contact Permission in Yes and replace it with Contact Permission Type in Email.
2. Update your Tessitura email output sets to include the subscribe date as a data field. Your subscribe date needs to be a valid date format for WordFly to accept it.
For additional support on the CRM side, please reach out to Tessitura support.
Once you’ve finished the output set in Tessitura, log in to WordFly...
3. Import your Tessitura list into WordFly as a new Tessitura list import. Make sure the list is using the output set with this new subscribe date element. Map the subscribe date from your list to the WordFly data field 'CRMSubscribeDate'. This data field in WordFly is used to override the unsubscribe in WordFly.
If the date provided by your list is greater (in the future) than the unsubscribe date logged in WordFly, then the unsubscribe in WordFly will be removed (overridden).
Set up override for Centaman
You can import a subscribe date in your Centaman list to override the unsubscribe event in WordFly for a subscriber. This is done by mapping your list subscribe date to the WordFly data field 'CRMSubscribeDate'.
WordFly will override the unsubscribe event when the subscribe date on your list is greater than (in the future) the unsubscribe event date logged in WordFly.
In Centaman...
1. Find a date in Centaman that corresponds to the subscribe date for the subscriber.
2. Update your list to include this data. Your subscribe date needs to be a valid date format for WordFly to accept it. A common date format is UTC date format (example: 2022-10-14T20:00:00).
For additional support on the CRM side, please reach out to Centaman support.
Once you’ve finished the list setup in Centaman, log in to WordFly...
3. Import your Centaman list into WordFly as a new Centaman list import. Make sure the list is including the new subscribe date data.
Set up override for CSV file import
You can import a subscribe date in your CSV file list to override the unsubscribe event in WordFly for a subscriber. This is done by mapping your list subscribe date the WordFly data field 'CRMSubscribeDate'.
WordFly will override the unsubscribe event when the subscribe date on your list is greater than (in the future) the unsubscribe event date logged in WordFly.
In CSV file...
1. Add a column to your CSV file and dedicate this column to 'subscribe date'.
2. Write in the subscribe date for your subscribers. Your subscribe date needs to be in a valid date format for WordFly to accept it. A common date format is UTC date format (example: 2022-10-14T20:00:00). Or another way 10/14/2022. Avoid using a date format for the column in Excel. It will be interpreted more accurately if you leave the column format as text or general and type in the date format.
Once you’ve finished the CSV file set up, log in to WordFly...
3. Import your CSV file into WordFly as a new file import. Make sure the list has the column with subscribe date.
