How can I unlock someone's account or reset their password?

When you start using WordFly, you will receive an account name and a login. Understandably you might forget your password or mistype it and then your cannot login. Fortunately we have solutions for you in case you forget your login information or have locked your account.

 

Any user with 'Manage Users' permissions can unlock accounts and reset passwords for other users in WordFly.

Unlocking a user's account

 

WordFly locks out a user when they have attempted to access their account 3 times with incorrect credentials.

 

Go to Account > Users to unlock a users account following these instructions:

 

1. Go to Account > Users.

 

 

2. Select the user that is currently having trouble accessing WordFly, select their name.

 

3. Scroll down the user's page and select Unlock User. 

 

Please take note:

  • This doesn't send out any notification to the user that their account is unlocked.
  • Make sure there are no accidental spaces in your password
  • Remove all caps and spaces from account name on the login screen
 
 
 
 

Resetting a user's password

 

When a user cannot recall their WordFly password their password can be reset in order to allow them to create a new one.

 

Tip: Any user can reset their own password from the WordFly login screen by selecting 'I forgot' next to the password section.

 

Go to Account > Users to reset a user's password following these instructions:

 

1. Go to Account > Users.

 

 

2. Find the user that is currently having trouble accessing WordFly, select their name.

 

3. Scroll down the user's page and select Reset Password. 

 

Please take note:

  • Selecting this option will send out an email to the user.
  • Have them watch for an email from buzz@wordfly.com.
  • This email will include a new password that will allow the user to reset their credentials.

 

 

 

Help! I am having trouble logging in

 

Here are some tips to help you login successfully if your first attempt didn't work:

 

WHAT TO CHECK TIP
Check your Account Name Your Account Name is one word, there should be no spaces.
Check your Email address Your email address should be your personal company email address.
Check your Password Your password needs to be typed in correctly! Make sure all-caps isn't selected or any accidental spaces or characters in your password. Passwords must be at least 6 characters and meet the security requirements.
Forgot your password? Click the 'I forgot' link next to the password field to go through the steps of resetting your password.
Are you resetting your password? In the reset password process you need to provide the new temporary password first and then type in your new password twice.
Locked out?

WordFly locks your account after 3 failed attempts to login to your account. Once your account is locked, you can:

-Reach out to someone on your team with 'Manage Users' permissions to unlock your account.

-If no one on your team is available to help, email us for assistance getting back in to your account.
